Story :

Kate(Vera Farmiga) and John(Peter Sarsgaard) Coleman are trying to recover after the loss of their unborn child, and they are thinking of adopting another child. They go to the local orphanage where they meet Esther(Isabelle Fuhrman), a young girl to whom they feel strangely drawn. A weird series of events start to happen after Esther is welcomed into her new home. When people around Esther start getting hurt, Kate suspects that the seemingly innocent and angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Being concerned with the safety of her family, Kate tries to make John and other to see past Esther’s facade. It remains to see if the others will see the truth before it is too late… for everyone.
